Exactly as advertised. It is a splendid old home, decorated lavishly, fabulous towels and bedding. I felt pampered even though there wasn't a soul around! The common spaces were very comfortable and welcoming, and the Blue Jay Suite was perfect for my solo retreat, cozy and comfortable, and the big soaking tub was great. Multiple coffee bars. I nearly had the whole house to myself and barely heard or saw other guests. Felt very safe in the house.
There are a few "old house" quirks: squeaky floors, no climate controls in each individual room, non-insulated windows which allowed a lot of street noise inside, and the backyard/garden definitely could use attention.

Soo nice, quiet and cozy! The jacuzzi tub was amazing. The bed is so soft and comfortable. 10/10 loved this place and the old timey style!
No thermostat in each individual room was the only downside. There was no fan in our room and it was a bit warm.

Great location, beautiful mansion, comfy room and we really enjoyed the large tub in the room. They have coffee stations and a game room. There is also a communal fridge and microwave in the game room.
Having a larger trash can and mini fridge in the room would be nice if you’re staying for longer than a night.
