The apartment was immaculate. Could not have chosen a better location, and the view was sensational. The host was quite lovely and made certain I was well taken care of throughout my stay. One of the nicest places I ever stayed at in all my travels.

Cute, clean apartment in the heart of Sintra's historic centre. Right across the street from the National Palace and a 10 minute walk to the Sintra train station. Bus stops are less than a 5 min walk away. The apartment comes with a hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, hairdryer, towels, dishes, utensils, a pod coffee maker, soap, shampoo, WiFi, and a TV. There are cafes and shops within 100m of the front door. Ideal for seeing all Sintra has to offer.
Sintra is not a party town and is quiet at night.
The first night I was there was cool, and the bed didn't have the duvet on it. I looked in the cupboard the next day and found one.
There is no reception desk. It's just a key in a box with a lock/code. I didn't know that. It's not a digital box, so when I arrived very late, I was worried about getting in, and the Uber driver thankfully stayed with me until we figured it out. It was stressful until I got the key out of the box.
While there is a hob and a microwave, there is no oven, so if you wanted to throw on a pizza or something after hiking all day, you would have to only cook a stove top meal instead. There are no laundry facilities.
Having no oven or washing machine is OK if you are visiting for a week or so, but it might be hard if you wanted to stay longer.
This isn't the fault of the property, but it's good to know - taxis/Ubers are not allowed to pick up in the historic centre. To be collected, you need to walk closer to the train station or near The Chestnut. I didn't know this, so I was 40 minutes late for my Pena Palace itinerary; I didn't know my way around, and the Uber drivers just kept cancelling without telling me an appropriate pickup location.
