The heating worked very quickly which was great because we didn’t arrive until quite late.
Where to start? Imagine meeting someone for a date, you have a photo of them from their mid 20s but they turn up & they’re in their mid 50s. They were once beautiful but time hasn’t been kind & they’ve really let themselves go. It was like that. FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!!
The place needs some attention from the landlord company, plug sockets looked barely attached. A smoke alarm in the hall way had been uninstalled hastily & a new one put in but the old wires were left dangling. The really cheap TV worked intermittently.
As a landlord myself I know this but I can accept these things as long as it’s safe-ish.
What I cannot accept is filth!!!
I didn’t meet the cleaner by I imagine they had a guide dog & white stick because the place was gross. The kitchen had a ton of grease on the cooker hood. The en-suite shower roomshower (which I refused to use ) was VILE. Mould around the shower door, the tile grout was black where it used to be white. There was a bloody snot smeared on the wall next to shower cubicle. There were long hairs on the wall in the family bathroom that weren’t ours & I’m pretty sure the shower gel , shampoo & lotion dispensers had been mixed up.
The towels smelled as is they been left wet in the washing machine for a few days before being dried & were so old that they had lost all capability to dry anyone. My 10 year old daughter asked me why her duvet was smelly? Upon inspection of the bed there were hairs in her bed, bed clothes were stained, & DEFINITELY UNWASHED from the last guest. I felt DIRTY having stayed there. All in all UNACCEPTABLE!!!
