Antiques lover's flat, Florence

The location is great: not far from the historical center, close to Santa Maria Novelle railway station, a couple od supermarkets and several groceries nearby, excellent public transportation means. Bedding and towels were clean.

The description is highly deceptive, promising a washing machine, AC, a dishwasher... (see screenshot). Washing machine doesn't exist - "We removed it a year ago, why did you expect it?" Dishwasher is broken: "Today I found that its door is blocked. It's August, I can't find anybody to repair it". The AC exists in the kitchen (works fine), in the living room (more or less OK) and in ONE bedroom of FOUR (scarcely perceptible). The weather in Florence in August is about 35-38°C, so bedrooms without AC turn into ovens. The host offered fans, so simple ovens became ovens with convection. Moreover, no AC - no fresh air intake: you can't open the windows, because trams and bikers ride right under the windows. Two bathrooms? One of them is big and spacious, but water mostly flows from the joint (hose-showerhead), so it is almost impossible to take a shower. The other shower works OK - but it is in fact a small WC room, and the shower is placed a;most above the toilet seat! I am OK with such structure in an old Tbilisi apartment for €20, but this one costs massively more. And you can't lock the door of this WC to that! Most door handles don't work properly, it is a pain to close the door. Old furniture looks nice but is not really comfortable. Very few power outlets (mostly one in a bedroom, difficult find to that) - as everyone has a number of gadgets, it's a problem. The lighting is low. Kitchen more or less equipped with pots, dishes, and cutlery - but the dishwasher is broken (see above), promised coffee machine is missing, no electric kettle etc. Some dishes and utensils were dirty, we even found mould in the coffeepot! Obviously there was no cleaning at all, although the client pays for it a lot of money. The refrigerator door is hard to close, and there's a thick layer of ice on the backwall. The apartment needs complete refurbishment and decent maintenance. Currently it's a disgrace.

Enough bedrooms and a good location for public transportation. Quick response from management regarding issues.

Really only one shower, the other is in a toilet space. As a family of eight, this was tricky. Air conditioning is only in three spaces, not the entire apartment.

The apartment is really big and fit comfortably our group (8 people). It is nicely decorated and gives you the Italian feeling from Firenze. You can reach the main historical sites on foot, and there is a tram stop just at the corner

We had some issues with the shower, but the host was very helpful and answered very quickly ( even during the evening).

Real character property. Felt homely and appropriate for the Florence experience

Could do with more mugs - we are tea drinkers!

Location, spacious, unique. Greeted by a very helpful young man who showed us around.

Water pressure quite low, noisy as on corner of street.

The apartment is conveniently located 5 minutes (by tram) from the train station. It is a good option for groups and/or families traveling together and need a place that is easily accessible and has plenty of bedrooms and shared living space. The check-in and check-out instructions were clear and timely. The apartment is well equipped for large groups of people.

The bathrooms could use some restoration as the water pressure is not good. Also, the kitchen could use some updating itself. The current state won't ruin your vacation, but if they were new it would elevate the whole experience.
