Modern A-Frame - Mountain Views - Evergreen

I appreciated the location and the style of home — I told my wife, “I wish I could copy and paste this home back at our place…”

Loved the back deck-watching foxes run in the field, close to a trail to walk on, modern interior, plenty of sleeping space for a big family. Well-equipped kitchen.

The loft room gets pretty warm-we were there mid-August so it was hard to sleep a couple of nights

Nice and calm place to stay away from a city rush. Looks like property just recently build. Everything is nice and fresh.

Location was quiet and felt private, 20 minutes to the nearest town so felt secluded without being too far conveniences Lots of wildlife visitors, modern decorations and tidy. Beds were comfortable, bed linens were soft.

Very disappointed that I couldn't finish my laundry before going home...dryer wouldn't dry. The refrigerator was small, kept leaking water and was completely bare. Usually, there are basic condiments available and a bottle or two of water to get you started. Beautiful mountain views but you couldn't see them because the windows were dirty and most didn't have screens, which was really unfortunate because there is no AC unit and it got very warm upstairs but with no screens, you couldn't open windows to cool the inside down. Living room chairs are not very comfortable, and for some reason, they were using the cushions for the patio set as decorations on the couch. The bathroom towels were like sandpaper, and the upstairs bathroom is extremely dark, showering must be done after the sun has come over the ridge. There was a clothing rack upstairs (no closets or dressers to in pack into) but there were no hangers to hang your clothes on. There is an ironing board but no iron or steamer. There was a big pile of rubbish in the driveway and the grass was not mowed so you had to walk through the weeds to get to the back deck from outside. Lastly, the host was NOT at all accommodating. Requested an early check-in due to our flight being changed a few days before our arrival. We were sitting in the driveway at 2:30, housekeeping had already left (I know this because we came by the house several times hoping the host would respond back to us) and the host still wouldn't give us access to the home until regular check in time. The host also does not provide a guestbook with local attractions, restaurants, and other visor suggestions. I have always found these very helpful at all the other rentals I have stayed at. Overall, our stay was nice because most of the issues are first world problems, but you expect more when you pay the same or higher prices than a hotel where your issues can get corrected immediately.
