Ivy Cottage

Liked its location in relation to other towns/attractions,was clean and plenty of reading material.

The closeness of the road,,frustrating front door lock,,narrow stairs,,fireplace slabs which I hurt my foot on walking by.

A very well situated cottage with very good bus and train connections. Parking permit appreciated. The cottage is well presented and generously equipped. It was very clean and the linen crisp and towels soft. Bed very comfortable. Plentiful electrical sockets by bed. Good information package and local magazines up to date. Plentiful supply of hot water. The garden is small but well planned and great for sitting out if the weather is suitable. A selection of games is provided. Dogs welcome for an additional charge of £35/week or part thereof. There is a pub opposite serving food and a small supermarket further up the high road.

The shower over the bath requires negotiation of a high sided bath with no grips, it is hazardous. The stairs are steep. The dining room table has stools rather than chairs. There is parking 150 metres away but unloading a car outside the house is not possible. The management company is overly bureaucratic and 12 e-mails were received about the stay. The most concerning being the issuing of assess information after the notified arrival time despite requests for details before arrival. I suspect it's a new AI management system.
