Pretty Parisian Penthouse

The house is an extremely quirky, bright and airy penthouse in a lively, busy area of Paris, really convenient for most locations - Notre Dame, Place De La Concorde, Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, the Seine all within 2km or 30 minute walk, Eiffel Tower area maybe 5km away, perfect for us as we loved walking around the city. It has a little roof terrace and a balcony, two comfortable bedrooms, a massive walk-in shower room with rain shower and hose. You'll be sharing a well loved home rather than an empty rental property, it's full of family touches. Upstairs was a huge TV with the usual streaming services and a Playstation 5. Gio is a wonderful host who is full of advice and concern your stay is going well, always available to answer questions. We knew before arriving there are a lot of stairs and no elevator so that wasn't a problem for us, but might be for some people.

There's very little storage space for clothes - nowhere to hang anything, so we had to live out of suitcases for our stay. The shower room, while very impressive, has large glass windows and a glass door with no curtains - these look onto the living room and downstairs bedroom; so privacy may be an issue for some.

This is such a fun and quirky apartment! Like many in Paris, it manages to preserve the uniqueness and age of the building, while also having modern touches, and the decor was really fun and personal. It's a penthouse so you have a loft area that leads to a rooftop balcony that is really lovely and a great place to sit after a long day of sightseeing. Everything in the apartment was as advertised, it was very comfortable, and the host was very friendly. Beds were comfortable (there are two bedrooms/beds, one on the main floor of the apt, and one in a loft bedroom), the shower is spacious (its a huge modern shower "room" that has a rainfall head and a place to set your clothes/towels; this is separate from the toilet, which is another room. Though it's in a lively area, noise was not an issue. Full kitchen if you want to cook, and a long table in the dining area, also a washer for clothes. Comfortable living room and couch (which could double perhaps as a third bed, if need be), as well as a second, smaller balcony just off the living room. The area has lots of restaurants and some local shops, and is only a few blocks from two different metro stops, with great transfer options. The apartment is inside of a courtyard type area that requires a code to enter, and the building itself also has a code, so we felt very safe. The only callout I would make is for anyone with mobility issues. It wasn't a problem for us, but if you or someone you are traveling with needs easy ingress/egress, this is a penthouse apartment with a lot of stairs and no lift. There are more stairs inside, including leading into the apt and two different ones leading into the loft areas. My sister and I had no issue with this (was great exercise, and added to the charm!), but in case this is a consideration, wanted to call it out.
