Loved the location, facilities and layout. Perfect for our family and we were able to explore the surrounding areas / easily get into town for a bite or cook at the house. Massively recommend this place.

La casa estaba bien situada a 1 h de coche del Sequoia National Park y cerca del pueblo donde se podía encontrar un poco de todo, restaurantes, gasolina, supermercado etc. El parque es una maravilla que merece la visita sin lugar a dudas. Una vez solucionados problemas que tuvimos al llegar la casa cumplía las expectativas relativamente bien.
Tuvimos un problema al llegar porque la casa no estaba recogida ni limpia, había camas sin hacer, toallas por el suelo del baño, se notaba que no se había limpiado ni preparado desde la salida de los inquilinos anteriores. Nos fue tremendamente difícil contactar con la anfitriona, no había cobertura de móvil y una vez dentro con el wifi no contestaba al los Whatsapp. Finalmente lo conseguimos a través de otra persona a la que pudimos llamar para que se pusiera en contacto con ella. Dijo que había habido un malentendido con la encargada de la limpieza, se disculpo y nos envió a la encargada para que limpiara y preparara la casa, pero al encontrarse en un sitio apartado tardo varias horas en poder dejar la casa lista. Nos hizo perder toda la tarde que podíamos haber aprovechado para comenzar la visita al parque. Al día siguiente el sistema de apertura de la puerta con código, no funcionaba y tuvimos que recurrir a la llave que estaba allí en un cajetín que finalmente conseguimos abrir. Nos dijeron que el sistema de código fallaba con cierta frecuencia. Debido a los inconvenientes nos prometió un reembolso de 100 $ que después de recordárselo varias veces aún estamos esperando desde finales de septiembre que nos alojamos allí . En fin no muestran mucha formalidad. Disfrutamos del Parque, pero los problemas iniciales con la casa nos estropearon un poco la visita y no parece de recibo comprometerse a un reembolso y luego pasar de todo.

communication with host: I kept on receiving seemingly auto-generated and sent messages welcoming us and lettings us know to contact her if we have any questions, despite the fact that I've tried to reach her at least 6 times online and by phone, to inform her that we will be arriving one day late due to a family emergency, none of my messages were answered until the morning after we arrived. Also, the curtains in the 2 lovely bedrooms in the back are not wide enough to cover the entire sliding glass doors, at least 12" short on each end, wanted to sleep in one of those rooms but didn't due to the lack of privacy.

Tolle Lage, sehr ruhig, nur ein Katzensprung zum Sequoia National Park. Hübsches Haus, sehr geräumig und liebevoll eingerichtet. Sehr großes Bett im Haupt-Schlafzimmer. 2 voll ausgestattete Bäder. Klimaanlagen in allen Zimmern funktionieren einwandfrei (überall) und überwiegend geräuscharm (außer die im Hauptschlafzimmer).
Alles war sauber, viele Handtücher, bequeme Matratzen.
Das Haus bräuchte ein paar kleine Renovierungsarbeiten an manchen Ecken. Ein paar Tür-und Fenstergläser müssen ausgetauscht werden. Ein paar Steckdosen müssen neu befestigt werden. Die Küche ist etwas sparsam ausgestattet, was Geschirr, Besteck und Töpfe angeht. Da es 3 Schlafzimmer gibt, ist damit zu rechnen, dass mindestens 4 Personen einziehen. Wir waren zu 4. Es gab z.B. nur 3 Messer, wir haben uns zum Mittagessen Nudeln gekocht und mussten sie in 2 Töpfen kochen, weil keiner groß genug war.
Hier könnte etwas aufgestockt werden und das ein-oder andere Teil auch ersetzt (weiße Kunststoff-Schüsseln waren nicht mehr weiß und dadurch etwas unappetitlich.) Wir waren nur 2 Nächte da, daher für uns alles kein Problem.
Hinter dem Haus gibt es einen Bereich mit Gartenmöbeln, Hängematte, Feuerstelle und Grill, den die Nachbarn aber mitnutzen.
