Centrally located and walking distance to majority of things in the Center of Madrid. Side street has great small cafes and bakery, but also a LOT of African influence with clothing store and eateries.
Due to heavy presence of African culture in the area - especially when walking downwards street towards the train station, I might consider whether this is the wisest idea to do in the dark. Other than that, I never felt unsafe in the area.

The location is ideal in the middle of Lavapies. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in a lively neighbourhood. The appartement is quiet and spacious so no worries about busy streets/loud noises outside. We love the space, location, beds and cleanliness. Gracias
