Longpark Linhay

From the start the hosts were very easy to contact. They gave us all the information we would need prior to arrival (we would recommend using the what three words provided, as the post code doesn’t take you there directly!) When we arrived, the setting blew us away. The surrounding countryside is beautiful with wonderful wildlife to see. The house itself was modernised and had all amenities you need including oven, bbq, washing machine and kettle. The beds were clean and comfortable with plenty of pillows, blankets and towels are provided. We chose to eat in most evenings with small children and they just loved eating outside watching the horses, cows and birds. There is one pub within walking distance and plenty of paths to explore the area too. We visited close by locations such as Torquay, Brixham, Babbacombe and Broadsands which were all within a 25 min drive from property. It was a lovely place to stay and enjoy the surrounding attractions.

While the house was generally clean with clean bedding, towels etc, we did notice that the floors were quite dirty. We have a 10 month old who is crawling, and, when we picked him up from being on the floor his hands, knees and feet were filthy which possibly means the floors were not cleaned prior to our arrival. I would have given the floors a quick mop myself, as babies constantly have their hands in their mouths so wanted to ensure the floor was clean for him but I couldn’t locate a mop. The house otherwise was equipped well for small children with a highchair and cot available.

Such a beautiful, peaceful location with the best view, we spent most evenings and mornings playing cricket on the field it was great for 2 young boys to run around in. The property exceeded expectations, it was clean, modern and had everything we needed. Even though the location was in the fields you were a short drive away from torquay and paignton, splashdown quaywest was a great day out for kids, also pennywell farm where you get to cuddle pigs, rabbits and feed goats. I could live in this property that's how much I loved the stay!

There was nothing we didn't like!
