Beautiful apartment in old town Monopoli - everything within easy walking distance. The apartment was so well designed - modern - high quality build and features throughout - the space available (though quite limited) is so well thought out. We even had a sun lounger on the top terrace. Would definitely stay here again - it really felt like a home from home. Great value for money and the perfect base for exploring Puglia. PS - you have to visit Lecce - and Bari deserves a good explore. Polignon a Mare was very touristy.
Brits - if you want to make a decent cup of tea - bring tea bags and decent size mug. We could only find cups the size of thimballs for italian coffee ;-) not gonna mark them down because of it - but just a tip if you like a brew first thing in the morning. I guess it would be nice if there was a kettle - but it might have ruined the very tasteful aesthetic ;-) But don't let this put you off - it's a brilliant place to stay :-)
Just looking at some of the other reviews... it seems like a lot of these properties assume you have whatsapp... and you receive door codes on the day of entry. That worked fine - but it would have been nice to have been contacted before the day of arrival to explain that this would be the method of entry - no one would be there to meet us etc. - and we would need Whatsapp to receive this information etc. Ok - it wasn't a problem this time - but a little more information up front - via booking.com or by email would have been helpful.

Excellent location. Clean modern room and access to the building was easy.
The stairs are extremely steep, narrow and high. We had 16kg, medium size bags and husband could only just get them up to the top floor. So if you get the top floor room, be prepared.
We also had to pay the city tax twice as host said booking.com payment wasn't counted.
