The property located in the historic city center but on the quiet street. There was a small kitchen, very large bed, the shower was large and comfortable. The host meet us in person, was friendly and recommended us some places to visit.

Some dishes were not very clean.

Fabulous location, property stayed super cool during our stay, perfect size for 2 people!

The kitchen amenities weren’t fabulous. No oil to cook with, and the cupboard with all the cooking stuff was mouldy and damp. We had to clean anything we wanted to use so didn’t end up cooking.

Excellent location in the old town, 15 minutes walk from the train station (note that if you have heavy luggage or wheeled luggage, the pavements, location of parked cars, and general lack of dropped kerbs could be challenging!). I would advise though that you do arrive on the train as the train was very reasonable and modern (also a lovely bakery just 1 minute from the station). Lovely old property. Host Pino very responsive and shared some tip documents on where to eat etc and let us drop off luggage pre check in. Apartment had lots of crockery, a fridge, recycling bins (green for glass, yellow for plastic and metal, blue for paper), a few hangers and a drying rack. Small sachets of shower gel. Lovely and cool in the hot weather.

This is not a fault with the apartment in particular but the nights we stayed there was a lot of noise outside from people in the street, so if you're a light sleeper, consider bringing earplugs! Also, every time we opened the small window in the bathroom, the room would smell of cigarettes (again, not a problem with the apartment itself). Shower could have been a little cleaner as there was some black mould stain (I guess like any shower with limited ventilation on some of the tiles, and it is an older, unique property so maybe unavoidable?). All in all a nice stay in historic building and part of Monopoli.
