The Cove

Locatated above a cafe that opens fron 9-4 meaning you can park outside these hours in the small parking area. There is however on street parking just down the road. The property is split into a number of rooms not whole property as suggested on booking.com. remember the name of room your booking as each has a seperate key box located from main road side passage. The steps up to the first floor where the rooms are are quite steep so would not be suitable for those with mobility issues or even large luggage. The cove is a single room with a seperate toilet/ shower room across the landing accessed by key and only for the cove room. Very clean with tea coffee and a bottle of water provided. The bed although felt hard actually provided a good nights sleep. There is a microwave and fridge on the landing serving all rooms. A well priced and comfortable stay.

The property was clean, comfortable, warm and well equipped. TV, hair dryer, tea/coffee, a bottle of water. Good value for money.

Although the bathroom was for my personal use ( access via key) it was off the landing. Not expected. A map showing the local area, showing places to eat and drink when you arrive late evening. The easiest way to ferry and train station.

The accommodation was a few minutes walk from the seafront, a park, co-op store and ferry and train, and on a bus route to Glasgow.

There could have been a better blind or a curtain at the window instead.

Clean and tidy. Great shampoo

Shower room is separated from the bedroom. It’s on the shared landing. This isn’t clearly stated in the description. Definitely made me feel uncomfortable having to exit my room and go into the shared landing to access the shower room. Kitchen is just a small shares microwave and bar fridge. No plates. No cutlery. 1830 cafe was closed which was inconvenient as it would have been great to go downstairs for breakfast. Recommended parking area isn’t safe. Several abandoned cars in the lot. I parked on the street instead.
