Great room

A lovely room with all you need. The microwave and fridge were useful. The bathroom and bedroom are good sizes. The room was cosy when I arrived.

The door handle broke when I tried to get in. Thankfully they sent someone to help quickly. The room is in need of a deeper clean. There were big old cobwebs all around the ceilings and crisps on the bathroom floor.

Lovely place and ticks all the boxes

Lovely location close to the sea. Nice and clean. Parking downstairs out of shop hours.Also there’s a car park across the rail bridge. On the sea front, we saw a dolphin and two seals pursuing mackerel being caught by the anglers - we’ll recommend ✔️👍

Unfortunately the railway company decided to close and do work on the railway outside the property overnight. From 2am to 5.

Good value accommodation in Gourock

Both the room and ensuite were a great size and looked freshly decorated. Easy collection of keys at the property and great communication from the host prior to arrival.

Stairs might be a bit tricky to negotiate for some, especially carrying luggage but we managed OK. No hot water for the shower in the morning which was disappointing but Andrew our host explained that there was an issue with the thermostat that was being addressed.

Simple room with cozy bed

Beds are super comfortable. Also lots of pillows. Cleaning staff is super nice and rooms were perfectly clean. The café downstairs is cozy and staff is lovely. Key broke upon arrival and the lady from the café was super friendly and helped us to call someone that gave us a new key which apparently had been mistakenly exchanged before. Train station is about half a kilometre away which is fine. TV can be watched from bed which is nice. Two free water bottles were a nice gesture.

House is really badly isolated so it was a little cold. You hear the neighbours when they walk to the bathroom on the corridor as sound isolation is also bad. So you could wake up in the morning.

Clean nice bedding comfortable bed

No place for hanging g clothes, only 1 coat hanger on back of door. We couldn't hang up our clothes so was disappointing

Great property.

Stayed here numerous times. The room is so homely, and there's nothing that i can fault. It is also a great idea to have a microwave and fridge on the landing.

Good value and comfortable acomodation.

This was a clean and basic accomodation. It had what we needed for a few nights stay and was in a great location for our sightseeing activities. It was extremely good value for money and I wasnt expecting the Ritz for the price.

The door locks were a little lack-lustre and could be improved for personal security. Not that we had any cause for concern.

Very comfortable bed, very clean room, plenty of tea / coffee etc. Quality bedding and towels. Good shower and quality shower gel / soap etc. Lovely breakfast in the 1830 coffee place below the accommodation.

A genuinely nice clean property, but the owner needs to ensure the tv works, the toiletries are full, and the emergency

The property was extremely clean, and teas and coffee were provided in the room which was a nice touch. The bed was also comfy, and the room was nice and warm/cosy on arrival.

The tv remote did not work so we could not watch tv. The shampoo bottle was empty on arrival, but thankfully we’d brought some. The main issue is that at night in the room there is a green emergent exit light above the room door which stays on the whole time and shines a bright green light across the room, which meant I didn’t really sleep. This combined with the property being on a main road with loud cars palming horns etc early in the morning, meant I was absolutely knackered the next day.

We only stayed one night and the two small problems we just put up with

The cleanliness of the room and toilet and the comfortable bed and pillows

No Instructions on how to use the TV and our shower did not work couldn't get the water to flow despite trying everything the lack of a comfortable chair to sit on

Valentine’s Day made extra special by Andrew and the staff was a great stay even with wet n windy weather

They went above and beyond to make our room special for Valentine’s Day couldn’t have asked for any more

Gem of a place to stay

Everything. The whole set up is fab ..and can't recommend 1830 Eatery downstairs enough.

A bin in the living area or a bin outsidethe building to dispose of rubbish.We took our rubbish home with us as didn't want to leave a bag of rubbish on the room floor.Not a big deal as everything else was perfection
