Shepherd's Cottage

Everything

Nothing

Beautiful cottage with everything you need. Clean and very comfortable in a fantastic location for the walking to the Tenyson monument, the Needles and Freshwater (all reachable in around half an hour). The shop has lovely gifts in it and essentials like milk. The onsite cafe is superb - great lunch and dinner menus (super Tapas and Pizzas). There is also a pub just over the road serving good food. All in all a great place to stay.

Collected the keys from the lovely cafe/gift shop on site - that was a nice surprise in itself. The staff were all very friendly and we can recommend the breakfast in the cafe.

The view from the cottage is limited, but nothing can be done about that due to its position. When we stayed, the campsite was empty (as you'd expect in February!) but in summer when the campsite is in use, the cottage will be less secluded and there will be plenty of people and cars passing by both sides of the property.

The property itself was excellent. The fittings, the furniture and the facilities were of a very high standard. It is also a great location for walking.

It was disappointing that after we had booked we were then charged a further £25 for our dog. We should have been told up front when we booked. Also the cafe located next door was not dog friendly.
