About this house rental
Renovated 5/2024! Relax and unwind at this peaceful cottage, conveniently located between Grand Rapids and Lansing. Enjoy fishing, swimming, sunbathing, kayaking, and boating (contact owner for pontoon rental) on all sports Jordan Lake. Fully stocked home with everything you'll need from towels to fishing poles/tackle to s'mores kit, it's all waiting for you at this cozy cottage.
Enjoy antiquing, golfing, wonderful playgrounds and parks, and lakeside dining in Lake Odessa, just a long walk or short drive away.
THE SPACE
The open floor plan and double patio doors puts the focus of the home on beautiful Jordan Lake. A private patio and dock also overlook that lake with an outdoor bistro table and chairs, glider/rocker, and firepit all on the lake side. Enjoy sunrise or sunset by the fire listening to the waves splash against the seawall. Sip your morning coffee or tea while fishing from the dock and watch for heron, swans, and eagles too. Two kayaks and life vests are provided for exploring the lake. 2 bedrooms (one with ensuite) and 2 full baths with walk in showers. 2nd bedroom was added 5/2024 and features a king bed and twin over full bunk bed.
GUEST ACCESS
You'll enjoy access to the whole house, except garage (for owner storage and under renovation to add a bedroom/bath). The yard is fenced between the home and the neighbors on one side, and open on the other, but is still completely for your enjoyment. Two patios, one attached to the house and one lakeside, a dock with lift for the pontoon boat and free space to tie off your own boat are yours as well.
BOAT RENTAL
2006 22' Pontoon boat with 90hp Evinrude outboard is available to rent during your stay. $250/day, $1500/week. Contact owner to arrange rental and sign waiver. Familiarity with Michigan boating regs required.

Becca was great with communication and went out of her way to accommodate us at her cottage. It is rare for such a nice property to allow our fur babies. I hope everyone appreciates her doing this and cleans up thoroughly after their stay. The neighbors were very nice too and made us feel welcome. Can't say enough good about this property and the owner. We'll be back again.

We came as a family, my husband and I and seven adult kids. There truly was room for everybody to sleep. The living room was pretty spacious and we were all able to hang out there when we wanted to. The dining room table has several leaves in it that you can put in to make quite large. The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed and still had lots of room for us to store the food we purchased for our stay. When we couldn’t find cutting boards, Becca quickly made sure we got some. We also rented the pontoon for the five days we were there, it was so nice to have that available the whole time. We also were able to fish right off the dock and got several large mouth bass off the dock and throughout the lake. The backyard is flat, unlike lots of yards by a lake. Since it was flat, we were able to play spike ball and Kan jam in the yard. We were able to bring our dog, which worked out great. We had to reach out to Becca for a few things and she is very prompt in responding and in taking care of any concerns. We would definitely recommend this cottage.
