Cozy W Front Porch DT Libertyville near Naval Base

Positive: Our stay was great overall & I would stay again. We were visiting for my child's Boot Camp Graduation & the property was 15 mins away from the base. The house is located in a clean & quiet neighborhood. It has 2 bedrooms, a full bathroom upstairs along with a pullout couch. It also has a finished basement with a bedroom, sitting area, pull out couch, & a small restroom with a shower, and arcade. It had all the supplies to make you feel at home- dishes, pots & pans, coffee, washer & dryer, linen, & even had detergent. The host communication was wonderful, prompt & understanding. They accomodated us with a slightly earlier check-in because we had an infant.Con: The home is older & the parking was difficult. There's a parking pad that is shared with the property next door. Whoever was occupying the attached apartment to our unit used all of the spaces, in-front & on the side. We had to park in the back & even struggled for space there because the house next door had 3 vehicles & there was another vehicle parked there from people who were staying behind the garage (weirdly). Backing out was hard especially in a minivan. Inside the home, the floors make a LOUD crackling when we walked; some parts feeling like it was going to collapse at any moment. Sleeping downstairs was hard because the upstairs floor crackled loud. There's evidence that pets have stayed there before & a slight cleaning issue that was addressed directly with the host.

Easy to communicate and great place to stay!

We traveled from Georgia to attend my son’s NAVY graduation! The property is just as advertised! Our party of 7 had plenty space and enjoyed the comfortable beds after sightseeing downtown Chicago with our sailor! The property is very clean, quiet, and in a safe neighborhood. It was perfect for us! The host responds quickly and checks in! We pleasantly enjoyed our stay!

Stayed at a similar owned property in Oct, that one was much better. This property we did not feel was as well maintained. Had to call cleaning back in as stove and showers were dirty. CLeaning did come back and do a good job. Appreciate that. This was an older property and had a separate unit above. We constantly heard every footstep above us all day and night. would not have stayed here if known that there was a separate unit upstairs. Basement was essentially useless for anyone over 6 ft tall. Entrance to basement was at one pt less than 5'8" or felt like it. Pictures did not truly depict layout. Fenced yard was nice for dog and beds were comfortable. Bathrooms very small. Lots of small repairs needed around the home inside and out. Recent outside door entrance with new stairs to yard still had sawdust on door knob and flooring around the door. Will look to rent another property in future but not this one.
