We had the most amazing fall break weekend adventure at Waylon’s home. We arrived late at night with the lights on, welcoming us, and the heat set up comfortably warm for the chilly night. We woke the next morning, refreshed after a great night’s sleep, and when we went outside, we saw that the pictures were on-point accurate for the backyard entertainment area: the kids were in awe. Pedal boating, canoeing, a fire pit area already set up ready for our use whenever we wanted to use it, and even a new package of marshmallow roasting sticks nearby. The kids loved running around the backyard, playing in the sand, swinging on the hammock, and we as a family loved roasting marshmallows at night and enjoying the stars. Waylon was always prompt with replies (like how to work the sauna since I’ve never used one before). A person in our group is now cost comparing options to get his own sauna after the three best nights of sleep he’s had in awhile with this sauna. We all left saying this trip was the right combo of relaxing, adventurous (both with activities right there and nearby), and was perfect for families: we could watch and hear the kids in the backyard from the comfort of the deck furniture. All in all, it was a wonderful stay. Thanks, Waylon! We hope to visit again.

Stayed over Independence Day with our extended family and absolutely had a blast on the water, in the sand, and enjoyed all the wonderful fireworks from all the neighbors and nearby lakes. We slept like rocks in the great bedrooms and made core memories with all the kiddos!

This house is amazing! It's like something out of a magazine! The decor is so beautiful and rustic. The bedrooms are seriously spacious. There are two bedrooms upstairs and they both have full couches in them that pull out. Then there is a bedroom on the ground floor with bunk beds. This house is clearly meant for the purpose of being an Airbnb/ VRBO rental only, which is nice because all the space is for guests. The driveway is huge, the backyard is pretty large, and the back patio is huge, fun, beautiful... I mean.... There's probably not a better place to stay in Antioch. The neighborhood is quiet, but I will say, it's in the oldest part of Antioch, which might put some people off because of all the houseboats that have paint chipping off or are falling down, but I know from experience that even the worst part of Antioch is safer than the best part of most other towns. I traveled here from FL, where I live now, but I grew up in Antioch through elementary school, high school, college, so I know this area and this town and I know the people. Very safe area, good people, so much fun stuff to do. We took the kayaks out to the lake. It was amazing!!! The little beach at this house is a rare find! We'll be back for the summer! .
