About this house rental
Explore San Diego's best food scene and walkability score in the Little Italy neighborhood, right outside your front door. Our tri-level home, offers contemporary living with a gourmet kitchen, chic furnishings and hotel styled amenities throughout.
1st Floor:
This is where you will arrive tothe common area foyer to the building. There is one flight of stairs up to the home on the 2nd floor. Sorry, there are no elevators.
2nd floor:
The home is open and airy, providing ample social and entertaining space. There are two patios and floor to ceiling windows in the living room that provide fantastic natural light during the day and city lights at night. If you are considering sleeping on the couch (folds into a futon twin) in the living room, please note that this space does not have any light filtering shades. You will be sleeping with the city views!
Upstairs:
The main living area is separated by a small stairs which lead you to the bedrooms. Each bedroom has blackout curtains, large closets and a full en-suite private bath.

What it’s like staying in the city:
We are located in the Little Italy District of the beautiful and bustling Downtown San Diego. As such, you will hear typical city-living sounds in our home.
For most guests looking to stay in any city environment, these sounds are not an issue (it’s actually really fun to watch the airplanes land along the water and immerse yourself in the thriving city day-to-day) , but for those who may be more sensitive to the city-scape noise and planes overhead we provide triple-paned windows, sound machines and earplugs.
If you are traveling with little ones that require pure silence to sleep though, you may consider another location outside of the downtown area to be better suited for your needs.
Parking is NOT included, but there are paid garages, Lots and metered parking all around the home, if you are traveling with a car. Most will be $20 for a 24-hr period. The best way to get out and explore the area though, is on foot. Numerous cafes, eateries, and bars are just steps away for fantastic dining. Gaslamp Quarter, Mission Beach, San Diego Zoo, Seaworld and more are a quick 10-15 minute drive away.
We do not provide luggage storage.

Almost nothing in the kitchen related to cooking supplies which was unusual compared to a number of places we’ve stayed at. There was no Kleenex or face soap which again was unusual, nor was there a hair dryer . This was frustrating. The accommodation was clean and comfortable otherwise

I loved the location. Although being an aviation guru I am biased a bit with the air traffic which didn’t bother me at all. I would stay here again for sure!

I am very picky about where I stay and I’m really big on communication. I cancelled our original stay due to the lack of communication with the host and I’m so glad I did. Communication was excellent with Shantal/Heather. The place was clean and was well equipped with the things we needed. The planes flying overhead didn’t bother us at all. The location was surrounded by bars and restaurants, close to the Harbor, Balboa Park, downtown and of course the airport. Heather was a great host and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Close to airport, clean and hospitable location. Close to food, music, beach and dancing.
House was very neat and clean. Only thing needed was curtains in the living room quarters as the sun would been and and no privacy at night but overall awesome stay.
Shantel is a very responsive host and home well decorated.
