Luxury Lakeview on Ardmore with Sauna

The view is really special - and almost certainly the best one in Wanaka. We enjoyed looking at the lake and mountains from the loungeroom and balcony, watching the light change at different times of day. The location is really central in Wanaka for everything. The kitchen is well equipped and the spa baths and sauna were fun luxuries that added to our holiday

Meeting the management company in the cold outside the chocolate shop, with no flexibility on timing, was not the nicest start to our luxury stay. It felt like they needed to do a more thorough inspection or a test-stay; there were various little things amiss like the coffee cups don't fit with the coffee machine (we used a ramekin to make coffee and then poured it into a cup), the clock had stopped, and the gas fire had been turned off at the gas but that wasn't in the instructions. It might be the intended style but the rooms felt very full of furniture and art, particularly the bedrooms - once you added a couple of people and bags it was tight.

Brilliant location, in main street, not too noisy at all. Stunning views straight out onto the lake and mountains. Well appointed, fabulous furnishings and very comfortable. Warm and cosy living space. Beds and linens were high quality, two great ensuites.

Could have done with some instructions on how to use sound system etc. Apart from that, everything was great.

Having to collect keys from a person rather than a lock box. Having to meet them before 8pm made the check in more stressful than necessary. Noise level from below restaurants & bars (did die down by 11pm) Choice of some of the art work, especially in the hall way and one of the bedrooms. Just a little offensive and unnecessary. (Weird obsession with the middle finger?)

The view is amazing and vibe of location fun. Very comfortable beds.

There was no coffee machine in the kitchen or one available to use. On Food/Drink: tea/coffee machine is on the list, more coffee pods were also available on the app if we required more. The spa baths in both bathrooms were dirty and ours have a scum rings around the sides, yuck! There were no cleaning products for us to use, I did phone BCR Property Management to let them know. My reply was “coffee machine not available with this room”. If you’d like to contact me, I do have other things to discuss. As this was my daughter’s 25th birthday present, we were disappointed. Thank goodness location is amazing. I do have photos to f you require them.
