The Tour del Marguareis, which can be completed in five or six stages, is particularly popular. Many of the trails in the park follow the old "salt roads" that connect the Po Valley with the sea. The most famous of these is the Limone-Monesi military road, also known as the Alta Via del Sale, which runs along the southern border of the park.
