MAT SHIBUYAHONMACHI

The bed was very comfortable, the best we slept in during 3 weeks in Japan, where beds tend to be hard. Apartment had everything we needed for two people, except there were no cooking utensils so we didn’t cook anything. We loved that the bathroom is a laundry drying room where the whole room heats up. We could hang our laundry up, close the door, set the drying time and come back to dry laundry. A short walk across the street is a great little Indian/Thai restaurant Asian Palm, great food, went there 3 times.

The number on the apartment door did not coincide with the number given by the host. So, at first, we were trying to get in the wrong apartment and couldn’t understand why the lock code wouldn’t work. All was fine once we messaged the host. Our apartment was upstairs, be aware there’s no lift. Didn’t like that the cups, bowls, plates are all plastic.

The owner is easily contactable even though we had a late check in. There is a laundromat 2 min walk from this property.

The vacuum inside the room makes the front door need a good pull to open. As a first time user it made some confusion.

the apartment is located at hatsudai station, which is 1 station away from shinjuku, there is also a bus right outside the apartment that takes you directly to shinjuku a family mart and seven eleven are both 5 min away there is a greatt coffee shop (kohi kan/coffee kan) a must visit!! the apartment was very big and clean, there is a washing machine, a great shower, very big bathroom, and a kitchen (fridge etc), there is even a vacuum!! the beds, pillows, comforters were all super clean and comfortable! if i come again i will definitely go to this apartment! it is so modern and the location is great! and it really is big for an apartment in tokyo (~30m2), keep in mind alll apartments in tokyo are small, this one was perfect for 3 people!
