Dishwasher was broken and the sink was too small. Maybe take down the cupboard and use a mirror stuck to the tiles

Location. A few bits in the cupboards nice a nice touch but brought everything we needed.

Freezer would have been a good idea. Dishwasher was out of order, resident on site said about the noise the washer makes if used late. We were up for 05:00, out for 06:00 and back by 17:00. So if we were to use it. It would have been late. But we didn’t need it. Also. I asked on a few occasions about nice convenient places to eat/drink. Didn’t get a response. Yet I received multiple communications about arrival time and departure times. More than needed. So I put my questions down to being not important enough to respond to. And the departure time and arrival time requests as not needed due to me agreeing to code of conduct/use when I made the booking. Also. My biggest issue was that when I booked I stated 2 adults and 1 child. So why would bed sheets for only 1 bed be supplied. I expected the sofa bed. I was listed. But no sheet for it. Only a blanket and pillows. Poor My wife didn’t enjoy the hairs not cleaned around the toilet. But an easy fix. We were comfortable during the stay but only because I anticipate issues and because we packed for every eventuality. So packed a spare sheet and blanket, as well as cleaning bits.

Comfty beds, good supply of utensils, clean apartment. Nice towels and shower. Very spacious. Beautiful view of Scarboroughs architecture and buildings.

Better pillows would have been appreciated, the smell in the hallway of the building was unpleasant but the apartment itself didn't smell.

On arrival we could not access the key code. We were provided with a code, which we assumed was the key code however, on arrival the only code which had been sent failed to work. We made several attempts to contact the owner by email and telephone contact, without success. Fortunately the lady in the lower flat, who permanently resides there, was able to contact the cleaner, who arrived and provided the code. The lady in the lower property informed us that other people arriving at the flat had also experienced problems accessing the code. The cleaner suggested that we should have received a code, it was explained that the only code sent, did not allow access. This initial negative experience obviously caused concern. On vacating the property we again attempted to contact the owner by text message in an attempt to access a code to allow the key to the property to be safely left. Much to our frustration the text message received an immediate response, this is unacceptable, when all our previous attempts to contact the owner had failed. We would not recommend this property to family or friends due to the confusion on arrival and also we considered the property to be tired and in need of some redecoration, we also discovered underwear in the bureau in the lounge area. In conclusion, this property was not to our usual standard and we would not consider returning.
