Palais Chahd Luxury

A beautiful property in a great location. The real star of the show here is Moufid who could not do enough for us. He was a wonderful host and would ensure that we returned.

L'accueil, le petit déjeuné, la piscine, tout ! Moufid, est une personne très accueillante et un très bon conseiller pour visiter la ville de Fès. Je recommande à 100%.

El edificio era hermoso y Moufid nuestro anfitrión fue lo máximo, nos ayudó en todo y fue muy atento. Si tuviera que volver a Fez lo haría aquí sin dudas

El barrio era un poco alejado del centro de la Medina

The host was wonderful - he met me at my taxi and walked me to the hotel. We had tea and he explained everything, and we discussed breakfast. He told me how to understand the road signs walking around, etc, and said he could arrange tours, etc. Breakfast the next day was fine, a bit too much food for me though (lots of breads). I ended up moving to another hotel, but the host here was really wonderful.

The location was in the Medina, which I wanted, but a very long way from the Souk (market). To me, a single woman traveler, I found it too isolated. The hotel only has 3 rooms (big, lovely suites) and staff are not onsite overnight. I was the only person in the whole building, and found this to be quite terrifying - I ended up checking out the next day and moving to another hotel. Even when I walked around, there were no women on the street at all, just mostly workmen, and I didn't feel comfortable. I was there in January, so it was not warm (about 8 C at night). The room had a heat pump, but it was about 10' up on the wall, so even setting it at 27 deg C the room was cool.
