About this house rental
Experience the unique opportunity to stay in a 170+ year old Schoolhouse! Built in 1852, The Gove School served many students and the local community for years. In addition to education, this small building was used for church gatherings, PTO meetings, clubs, and more. The school officially closed in the 1960s and was renovated into a home. We decided to purchase the Gove School in spring of 2022, and embarked on our renovation journey to bring back its historical charm.
The Schoolhouse boasts unique history, timeless design + modern amenities. With the original hardwood floors, curated antique pieces, wall engraved initials from past students, high ceilings, and tall windows that let natural light flood in. The space has two bedrooms–one with a queen and the other with a full bed. There is one bathroom on the main floor. The stairs take you up to the bright and airy loft with 4 built- in twin XL beds. There is a washer and dryer down the hallway that guests are welcome to use. Enjoy the fully equipped kitchen, cozy living area, and the desk nook if you need to get some work done!
The home is on 2 peaceful acres, with a natural filled swimming pond and spacious backyard with plenty of privacy. Nestled next to beautiful Championship Quail Ridge Golf Course, enjoy vast views of #4 Green and tough approach shots from fairway 5 relaxing by the fire pit and back deck! While down a secluded road, you’ll still be minutes away from many amenities this amazing area has to offer. Conveniently located less than 5 miles from the airport, 5 minutes to downtown Ada, wide bike paths, shops, and much more. A great retreat for couples, friends, and families!

The house was beautiful and looked just like the photos. I felt very at home there and loved all the historical things inside the house. The host was great to communicate with and getting into the property was easy. I would definitely stay here again!

The Gove Schoolhouse was a lovely, unique experience. It was well-appointed, comfortable and lacking for nothing. We enjoyed two stays here. With a country setting on a large lot it nevertheless was convenient to all services.

Beautiful, old schoolhouse was super fun to stay in for a girls weekend! We loved the 4 beds upstairs, it was like the old slumber parties when we were kids! The house is in a great location, lots of restaurants and groceries not far. Would definitely stay here again!
