With three generations of family staying, this was an ideal base for exploring north Norfolk. Firstly, the property itself was immaculate with beds amazing at the end of the day to slump in having explored the surrounding area. The conservatory where we had our meals was lovely and open, looking out on the huge garden. There we saw an array of wildlife visiting us each day/night. The kitchen was very big, with lots of cupboards, and a fridge freezer, cooker and dishwasher, only really missing a teapot and maybe a coffee machine, but that is being very picky. The 'welcome pack' was a lovely touch which we enjoyed throughout the week, including wine, cake, teabags and instant coffee. The lounge had very comfortable furniture although we had to rearrange furniture so we could all see the television. The added bonus of parking was also a huge plus. When visiting the surrounding areas, we had to drive everywhere, but 500 meters away in Trunch is a local pub and quaint church. Highlights included swimming in the sea at Mundesly with seals present. Food Shopping was 3 miles away. Overall, we had a lovely time and if ever we go back, this would be the place to stay. Thank you Oliver for letting us stay.

I booked this property for my husband and I, brother-in-law and sister-in-law for a break in a new area for us. The property was very clean and well presented, furniture looked good and was comfortable. The garden was very large and could have done with a tidy up but we saw deer and a variety of birds. The kitchen was full of cupboards but most were empty. We ate out or had salad bought at the excellent Sainsburys in North Walsham nearby. Would be difficult to cook meals for eight with the limited items provided. Toaster was two slice only, kettle was very small, no spare bin liners, only items in the toilets were two small toilet rolls and a toilet brush. My sister-in-law had to improvise a tea towel in the bath as no non-slip mats were provided. We visited and would recommend Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Estate, both National Trust and Holkham Hall (check you go on a date the house is open, hubby didn't!). Norwich was disappointing but we had to go so hubby could visit the Apple store (park & ride brilliant). We did try Blakeney Point for the seal trip but were too late, the boats had left. Interesting that the car park floods at high tide!
