About this cottage rental
Devon Cottage at Ivy Cottages is the second cottage in from the entrance and one of the most tranquil cottages. Devon brings the beautiful and rich history of Hunt Country to life. Painted in grass greens and decorated with equestrian art, you can revel in the beauty of England and Virginia's shared love of horses and the excitement of riding out over the verdant green hills that are quintessential to both regions. Devon offers a King bedroom, full kitchen and bath, and a comfortable living area with hand-selected touches enlivening every nook and cranny. One dog is allowed with for an additional $75 cleaning fee.

Overall a very nice clean and convenient location for visiting Charlottesville, VA. FYI the turn into the driveway, when headed east is a steep turn, which can be tricky at night the first time. One thing that would be nice is a compact washer & dryer unit; that said this is an excellent location in a beautiful setting.

Finding this delightful cottage was divine intervention! My husband and I made a whirlwind trip from PA to Virginia to visit his mother after her hospice nurse contacted us to report she was not doing well. Her home is only 12 minutes from the cottage. This had the potential of being a very stressful time, but it turned out to be a very good trip. We had a good visit with my husband's mother. We were there less than 48 hours, and we could not have had a better stay. The house was so clean and comfortable, and we were able to bring our dog. We slept so well in the comfy king-size bed. It was so quiet and dark at night. It was so convenient to have the kitchen to use. The owners thought of everything! We were so grateful! We are planning to return for a longer visit!

Property was very clean and exactly what we needed. Location is perfect to explore wineries and breweries in both directions. Entrance does sneak up on you at night but no biggie!

We loved every minute at the Devon Cottage! From the moment we walked in, we felt at home. The decor was warm and inviting, the layout was perfect for our family, and the cottage overall was beautiful and clean. We also enjoyed close proximity to everything as well as walking around on the property. We highly recommend this cottage!
