sanitary installations are a bit outdated, specialy the shared toilet. and the walls are paperthin, so it lacks soundproofing.

The owners of the guesthouse are very hospitable. The transportation system was not convenient, but the owners were very kindly to take us to the house and also take us to the JR station. The pets they keep were very cute and friendly to humans. The beds were very comfortable and we had a good sleep during the night. The hosts Naomi and Chris were wonderful. They have 2 cute cats and a dog, and some fish as well. They made us breakfast with locally sourced ingredients, and really made us feel like we were welcome in their home. The guesthouse itself is a beautiful old renovated japanese house with all the amenities you could need, and it's nestled in the hills of a lovely quiet town in the mountains. We would definitely stay again if we ever are in the area, and cannot recommend the guesthouse enough! :)
