Relaxing Retreat with Amazing Staff and Great Amenities

We had an absolutely wonderful stay!:) The staff were amazing — so friendly and attentive, we felt truly comfortable and well taken care of throughout our visit. We loved the morning yoga and breakfasts, although it was a pity the yoga didn’t take place every day. We also appreciated the water bottles provided in the room. Our room was fantastic, with a big, comfortable bed and easy access to the pool. Despite being in the jungle during the rainy season, the hotel did a great job keeping everything clean and mostly dry. The shuttle to Ubud was very convenient, making it easier to explore the area. Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable experience, we can’t wait to come back!:)

The pool was a bit shallower than we expected, we didn’t really notice that in the pictures. The hotel is also a little far from Ubud itself, but they make up for it with fun onsite activities and a few convenient shuttles into town.

Stunning property, gorgeous pools, very comfortable rooms and bed, nice shower and products, they clean twice per day! Spa is great. Staff provide the best service I have ever experienced even having stayed at many 5 star hotels. Everything is wonderful!

Great place for honeymooners!

We stayed in a private pool villa for our honeymoon and it was amazing. The pool was perfectly warm, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. Both restaurants were excellent, and the live music added a great vibe. They truly made sure everything was to our liking. The floating breakfast was beautiful, the spa massage was fantastic, and even during rainy season they had umbrellas readily available everywhere. The yoga class was also great. Highly recommend for a honeymoon or special getaway.

The only thing is that hotel is a little bit further from Ubud center and that if you book the private pool villa the first floor has no AC.

Our stay at Bambootel was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were wrapped in warmth by the most lovely, attentive staff, whose genuine care and quiet attention to detail made us feel completely at ease. Nothing was ever too much trouble, yet everything was done with such grace and calm. The private pool villa was absolute perfection — a serene sanctuary immersed in nature. Falling asleep to the sounds of the jungle and waking up surrounded by bamboo architecture and lush greenery felt deeply restorative. It was, quite simply, heaven on earth. The food was phenomenal. Every meal was beautifully presented, fresh, nourishing, and bursting with flavour. You can feel the intention behind the cuisine — thoughtful, sustainable, and deeply connected to the surrounding land. Bambootel has mastered the balance between eco-conscious living and understated luxury. It’s a place to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect — with nature, with each other, and with yourself. An unforgettable experience that exceeded every expectation. We left already dreaming of our return.

A beautiful hotel with excellent food and wonderfully attentive, friendly staff.

We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t fault the experience. The food was excellent, with a varied menu and consistently high-quality dishes that really stood out. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, making us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. The room itself was beautiful, as was the hotel overall, and the location only added to the charm. A truly lovely place that we would happily return to.

I almost cried when I had to say goodbye :(

Gosh where to start: Our stay was like a dream! The resort is only 2 years old and brand new with many facilities like filtered water and a gym! We booked the signature villa (with waterfall and moving bed) for 2 days and requested a flowerpool for day 2 + floating breakfast. They surprised me with the flowerpool on day 1 (which was a nice surprise upon entering the beautiful villa) but it started to rain shortly after. Luckily the Bambootel staff acted quickly to cover the flowerpool with a tarp to preserve the beautiful flowerartwork (made by Pasek) and they refreshed the flowerpool next morning so that I could take pictures and videos for my birthday. On the day of check out i received the delicious floating breakfast and we used the 15 min free of charge photographer service. LOVED IT! We also joined the free morning walk in the area (MUST SEE) to learn more about the local community. The Bambootel staff is the sweetest ever, pro active, well trained and they go above and beyond to make your stay UNFORGETTABLE. They take care of everything! My boyfriend was sick when he arrived and everyone checked in on him and the staff provided tea and fruit and recommended to see a doctor. Nothing was too much to ask! We regretted that we only booked for 2 days! Pasek, our butler, is a natural leader. He is calm, very involved, proactive, organised and very good with people from different backgrounds. To Bambootel management: please keep him in mind when you are looking for a manager! For the readers: please book here if you want to have an unforgettable stay and tip the staff if you can, they work hard and deserve it!!

Got deathly sick from food poisoning.

I loved the atmosphere & the design

I got deathly sick after eating breakfast here. And I know for a fact that it was from the hotel breakfast, because I ate nothing else between breakfast & when I got sick hours later. And when I vomited it was all the breakfast food I ate at the hotel. It all came out & I stayed bed ridden for 4 days after, not able to even walk. It ruined my vacation. It is highly likely that it was from the smoked salmnon because my wife did not eat the salmon & she did not get sick. Smoked salmon is pretty easy to store, so the hotel must've been really lacking basic food safety standards.

Dreamy luxury hotel

Excellent newly built hotel. Very unique and so beautiful. The room with pool access felt like a room with private pool. You get your personal sun loungers. Room is very well equipped. Comfy bed!!! Free sunset cocktail daily :) Nice air conditioned gym and yoga class room has good views. Felt very peaceful, probably the quietest nights we have managed to get while in Bali was at this hotel. Staff are superb. There is nothing around, but you’d know that before coming here. They have shuttle service running to Ubud a few times daily, though. It’s most certainly one of the best hotels in the area for the advertised price.

BBQ night food wasn’t for us but a la carte menu food was consistently good.

A special romantic getaway

Wow. If you want to experience 5star luxury, amazing facilities, breathtaking views, lovely food and wonderful staff Bambootel is the place to stay. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and made our stay so special. The accommodation is incredible, so unique and full of charm and so peaceful. We found it the perfect place to start our holiday, really relax and gather our thoughts. They have two restaurants on site which offer an amazing variety of food options - Room service is also available for a cosy night in. Manik, Ari, Radika, Pasek, Ayu, Adanna and Sang Ayu made our stay extra special. So kind, attentive and always welcoming.

I had the most wonderful stay at Bambootel Sawah View! 🌿✨

The hotel is surrounded by lush jungle and beautiful rice fields, which creates the perfect peaceful atmosphere — an ideal escape from the busy city life. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly kind, professional, and attentive. They were always ready to help, even with the smallest details, which made me feel truly cared for. My room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. It was cleaned daily, which I really appreciated. The breakfasts were simply amazing — so delicious and beautifully served! The restaurant team was also very warm and welcoming, which made each morning even more special. I also had the chance to experience their spa and enjoy a Balinese massage with Masya, and I can honestly say it was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Overall, everything about this place exceeded my expectations 🤍 If you are looking for a serene getaway with exceptional service, I can’t recommend this hotel enough.

We returned to Bambootel for our second stay, and once again, it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, everything felt just right – warm, welcoming, and beautifully curated. 🌿 Breakfast is simply outstanding – fresh, flavorful, and served with care. 🌟 The staff deserves special praise: incredibly supportive, attentive, and operating at a truly high level of service quality. 💫 We actually left the property after our first booking, tried another resort, and came straight back the next day – nothing else even comes close. The resort is located a bit north of central Ubud, but they offer a complimentary shuttle, which makes getting around super easy and convenient. Highly recommend the suite with jacuzzi – pure relaxation – and the Spa, where I had the best massage ever from Yuyu (hope I got her name right!). Don’t miss the silver jewelry class at the store recommended by Bambootel – amazing craftsmanship and a meaningful souvenir for you and your partner. 🍽️ Dinner? Also excellent. Honestly, there’s nothing to complain about. If you’re looking for a place in Ubud that blends comfort, authenticity, and exceptional service – Bambootel is it. We’ll be back again, no doubt.

Fantastic design with a really exotic flavour. Extremely kind and nice staff, very welcoming, respectful and helpful. Amazing view. Very delicious food and drinks, all fresh and tasty. All very clean and well taken care of. Any request immediately fulfilled.

Not every small detail is perfect, like some small imperfections in the bamboo construction, and other maybe personal taste. But the intention is fully worth to be appreciated.

Pleasantly surprised

Incredible and unique experience to be close to nature whilst having creature comforts. Exceptional attention to detail, rates inclusive of a few different activities (yoga, walking etc) and daily cocktail service. Despite the rural location, surprisingly sheltered from insects and even with torrential rain we could enjoy the villa. Finally, despite the remote location, the quality of food was exceptional, despite us having very low expectations (but very high standards). Service was also exceptional from the many staff

Out of this world, wish we could have stayed longer!

Everything about this experience was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we received outstanding service - the best place we have ever stayed. The hotel is gorgeous, the facilities are amazing and staff treat you like royalty. We were served beautiful food, we went to free yoga each morning, admired the stunning views and relaxed in the hot tub. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Great gateway, but not in Ubud and on the expensive side

The staff was amazing always available for all the requests The view from the room was breathtaking The hotel is really well maintained and very beautiful. The Food was ok, varied but quality wasn’t really there. The yoga classes in the morning were really great.

The location, this hôtel IS NOT in Ubud, it shouldn’t be advertised as so, it is very far from EVERYTHING, it took us +50min to go anywhere, the road isnt very pleasant.. its a long journey, there is a shuttle (3 per day) That brings you to North of Ubud but they’re not flexible at all Even if you’re alone in the car. Food and drinks are way more expensive than any fancy hotel in central ubud.
