Calma Cottage

Great location within walking distance of the beach and plenty of lovely tavernas, easy driving access to Skiathos Town and Koukounaries. Maria is a very helpful and attentive host! The cottage was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Our daughter absolutely loved visits from the friendly local chickens and cats. The frequent cleaning made us feel so well cared for - it was like staying in a spacious hotel suite.

The kitchen had slightly dated utensils and no basic cooking staples, so we had to buy essentials such as oil and salt from a local supermarket.

L’alloggio ha spazi ampi e confortevoli ed è immerso nel verde, in una zona molto fresca e piacevole: la sera, grazie alla vegetazione e all’aria fresca, serviva addirittura un golfino, mentre in centro fa molto caldo. La posizione è davvero ottima, basta attraversare la strada per arrivare in spiaggia e ci si trova più o meno a metà strada tra il centro e alcune delle spiagge più belle dell’isola. A pochi netti un mini market e diverse ottime taverne. Inoltre, a due passi dall’alloggio c’è la fermata del pullman, comodissima per raggiungere facilmente tutte le spiagge senza bisogno dell’auto. La signora è stata sempre molto gentile e disponibile. L’appartamento è dotato di tutto compresi teli mare e ombrellone molto utile. I proprietari hanno anche una taverna dove si mangia benissimo, che consiglio assolutamente di provare. Un soggiorno molto piacevole, soprattutto per chi cerca tranquillità, verde e una posizione comoda per visitare l’isola.

Lovely location, close to the beach, restaurants and supermarket. The yard was beautiful, well kept and safe for our 2 year old; the cottage was clean and cozy and I especially enjoyed the crisp white sheets that smelled incredibly nice. Very quiet and relaxing. Ms. Maria was the highlight though, she is such a nice and kind lady - made us feel at home.

Internet connection was rather unstable but this seems to be an overall issue in Greece

Exceptional stay in Skiathos! The location is perfect — very close to the beautiful beach of Agia Paraskevi and just a short walk from the bus stop, while still being incredibly peaceful and quiet. The service was excellent and Maria and Nikos were genuinely friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. I would definitely recommend staying here, especially if you prefer somewhere relaxing away from the busier parts of the island. The owners also have a nearby taverna, which is absolutely worth visiting. The food was delicious, fresh and authentic, and it made the whole experience even better. I would happily stay here again!
