Household Ušćumlić - Oaza mira

Bosa (sorry for my guess at spelling) was a wonderful host! Really welcoming. The lodge is comfortable and well provisioned and in a beautiful setting. I loved eating breakfast at the bench outside watching the clouds drift over and the family pottering round their home. The food she made us was wonderful and plentiful. We also had dinner made by Bosa one evening, beautifully cooked fish from the local Piva lake. She was really kind to us as we were late back from our hike and I felt her genuine concern for our safety. Not just that we were late for dinner! Staying here was the highlight of our trip to Montenegro.

Nothing to dislike! I would only warn hikers that the route we hiked taking us to Veliko Škrčko Lake taking us round Suvi Klek peak was more challenging than our route platform (Komoot) had suggested. There was snow and steep loose gravel to navigate! This on 1st June. But what an amazing hike, very rewarding, just don’t underestimate it!

I stayed here for a night while cycle touring. It had been a bitterly cold day, and I was welcomed with coffee to warm me up. A wood burning stove heated the house and made things cosy. Breakfast was tasty and filling. And what a beautiful place I found myself in when the mist cleared!

Amazing location nestled in the mountains. Quiet and peaceful!
