Wonderful!

Wonderfully individual. A home from home, this gem of a house was so comfortable, inviting, warm and cosy, especially on the wild weather weekend we stayed. It had everything we needed and more, to make for a very special break with friends. Although on a relatively busy road it was very quiet. We didn’t have the weather to enjoy all the garden had to offer, which would have only enhanced our stay more. Shall have to return! Thank you for our welcome treats - much appreciated ❤️

Good value for money and everything you needed was in the kitchen. Very comfortable too.

Very quirky we loved all the artifacts. Sofas were really comfortable although we spent most of the time in the one room as there were 6 of us. Lived watching the fish!

The automatic lights in main bathroom only stayed on for 30 seconds so having a shower was Annoying as you had to keep waving your arm outside to activate the lights. Even cleaning your teeth. This is something that I am sure can be easily adjusted.

We had a great holiday in a lovely house which was full of beautiful things.

Everything. Really good location- a few minutes walk through a beautiful park into town. A beautiful garden that we could sit in. Lots to do and see around the area. Sharon was a great host who was waiting for us at the property when we arrived.

Spacious, comfy, beautifully decorated, had everything we could need plus more. It’s ideally located for a stroll into Matlock with its many pubs and restaurants and for trips out into the Peak District.

Gorgeous house and excellent value for money

We have just returned from a two night stay with friends in Matlock staying in this delightful house which far exceeded our expectations. Sharron, as our host, could not have been more helpful. The pre check in information was comprehensive and so helpful. The house itself is quirky, furnished to a high standard and was immaculately clean. Location is perfect with just a short walk to all bars, restaurants and shops. The chocolates and fizz were very much appreciated!! The three bedrooms consist of one large one with kingsize bed, dressing area and ensuite with bath and shower - absolutely gorgeous! The second bedroom is a decent size with double bed and the third is a small room with a small double bed. Those share a lovely bathroom with walk in shower and there is an additional WC down stairs off the kitchen. Plenty of lovely sitting area ( 2 sitting rooms), dining area and exceptionally well stocked kitchen. The garden area looked beautiful but we didn't have the opportunity to go in. Good car park area for 3 average size cars. We had one small car, one medium and one beast and managed (just!) to get them all parked. Finally, we all thought it was excellent value for money for the facilities you got, particularly as there were 6 of us! Thank you Sharron.

Lovely weekend break would definitely return and recommend

Sharon gave us a warm welcome at the house and gave a short walkthrough showing us where everything was. Beautiful home tastefully decorated with all amenities you could want. Very homely and cosy. Great location just a short walk into Matlock centre and a pleasant walk into Matlock bath. Close to the Bentley Brook brewery which is a 5 minute walk away which is a must see.

Lovely place equally lovely host. Sharron was more than welcoming with wine chocs and essentials. I wasn't too well morning we were leaving she let me stay longer until l felt able to leave. She looked after me with cups of coffee and brought my belongings downstairs. Look forward to our next visit.
