Zoe Monastiraki

Zoe Monastiraki is a fabulous place to stay in Athens, we wished we were staying longer! The view of the Acropolis is incredible, both in the morning and at night. The apartment is very large with a massive shower. The kitchen seems well equipped although we didn’t use it for our very short stay. The property is located in a very convenient location amongst popular places for dinner and drinks, and very close to the metro station. Katerina was so very helpful and friendly, helping us with our late check-in and organising a taxi transfer from the airport. She answered all the questions we had very quickly. Highly recommend this place to stay in Athens!

The location is amazing, so close to the metro which you can get directly from the airport or the port. And it is very central to the city, close to many restaurants, cafes etc, and it's within walking distance of any of the main attractions too. The apartment is larger than expected, has a lovely little balcony and aircon which is great to escape the heat. We left our headphones behind and our host ensured they were safely returned to us.

We were excited to stay here based on the photos, but unfortunately this apartment was a disappointment. There was a terrible moldy, damp, sewerage smell in the bathroom so we asked to change rooms - but the room we moved to smelled as well. Not ideal as we were on our honeymoon. Also, you can't see the Acropolis from the window of the apartment - you need to walk out onto the balcony to see a partial view, which we thought was false advertising. The apartment looks modern but it's been cheaply built. We stayed at a much better hotel for the same price in Plaka a few days prior.
