Rhodene Farm Cottages is not a simple stay, it is a unique farm breakaway that feels rejuvenating. Your cottage is large and comfortable in the shadow of the Skurweberg Mountains on a farm that produces pears, apples and peaches, so for nature lovers, it is a delightful experience to wander around and experience the sights and sounds of the place. Credit must go to Liesel for her hands on care without being overbearing, especially how she is instantly available for any requests and helpful with hints and tips for tourist ideas in the area. The cottages are equipped with a fireplace, neat bathrooms, underfloor heating, braai area (with wood and fire starters) and the full DStv package, making it a comfortable and relaxing stay. You are able to walk to the mountains, fish in the dam (though it’s catch and release only), ride your bicycle around the area, or relax in the pool.

It would be nice if they offered tractor rides or horse riding for guests when timing in the farm’s schedule would allow it. While the place is lovely, it’s not ideal for wheelchair users unless they have assistance.

Typical farm cottage with basic facilities. Loved the privacy, peace and tranquility of the farm. Check in was a breeze and Leisl was very helpful. The best feature of the cottage was the hot tub. Also loved the 6k walk/hike to a waterfall.

Very little... Perhaps the cost for, use of the hot tub, should be included in accommodation cost.

This quiet and comfortable retreat offers a refreshing opportunity for those weary from work, and a walk along the pear-tree-lined path enriches the mind. The host's kindness and the wonderful hiking trail were captivating, and the pine forest added a refreshing touch. The sunrise over the reservoir was also a beautiful sight. It was the perfect place to relax.
