Moonrise Dome - La Bruyere farm

Impressive view and great location.

Nothing not a like

The location is beautiful and the outdoor bath is great. Very private and the host is very responsive and helpful.

The A-Frame house - which is one of two accommodations included in our booking - was simply locked and not available for our family to use on the first night, resulting in not enough bed space for our 3 family members and having to sleep on the floor. The room was eventually opened when requested. It was not clear enough that the bathroom is a separate building entirely to both accommodations, meaning that you need to venture outside at night for the use of the bathroom, which is not easy for a very pregnant guest or little kids. Dome also smelt overwhelmingly of plastic sheeting, and the ventilation was minimal, resulting in a very hot dome with some sunlight.

The view was absolutely fantastic! The farm is beautiful and very serene. The cooking facilities and living area below the dome was our favourite part of the accommodation. The kitchen has everything you need and more to make a good meal. The host was very friendly and helped us with all our needs during the stay.

The Dome itself could use some improvement. The bed was not very comfortable and maybe needs replacing. The interior of the dome was alright but also feels a bit outdated.

Beautiful natural scenery

Gas heaters in tents are highly dangerous due to CO2 and CO buildup, an oil heater would make much more sense. The nearest town is about 15 minutes away, ten of which are on dirt roads - this in itself is awesome. However, if the tap water is yellow brown and the host doesn't even supply 500ml of bottle water this is a grave issue!
