Glenbruar House

Crainlairich is a great and convenient place to stop at journeying through Scotland. Glenbur House is right on the roadside so easy to find. It is part of the Hotel across the road where we had a very nice meal. There is not much else foodwise in Crainlairich . Our room on the ground floor was perfectly fine apart from the loud road noise with heavy vehicles passing through. We needed our window open as it was hot weather. Breakfast was also at the hotel and was good. The surrounding landscape is wonderful!

Our friends had the upstairs room which they felt was very disappointing. Its as though the rest of the place was upgraded but they forgot about this room. They felt it was below par, particularly the bathroom, and therefore poor value for money Im afraid. It would be good to provide ear plugs.

When we arrived to the house there was a note saying we should go to the hotel across the road, and they had booked a room for each of us.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and could not do enough for you. The food was also beyond exceptional, we ate there in the evening and obviously took breakfast - I would return just for the food!

The bed was comfortable and the location was good for the West Highland Way

Right next to a really busy road so noisy through the night. We thought we were staying in an independent bread and breakfast, not a building linked to a Best Western Hotel. Shower wasnt very good, ran hot and cold
