Location

Avoid this apartment at all costs – dishonest host, poor hygiene, and nightmare experience after checkout The only good thing about this apartment is the location. From the moment we walked in, the bathroom had a musty, unpleasant smell – possibly mold or poor ventilation. The apartment gets extremely hot and stuffy in the summer, and since there’s no air conditioning, you’re forced to open the windows. But because it’s located on a busy street, the noise is unbearable. Don’t expect a good night’s sleep if you’re staying here during warm days. We stayed here after a long trip through Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, France, Monaco, Italy, and Austria – over three weeks of travel without a single problem at any accommodation. But this place gave me bad vibes the moment we arrived, which I told my wife about after carrying up our bags. We checked in around 18:30. I carried the bags up while my family waited outside. We spent the evening exploring Lübeck, came back around 21:00, and went to bed. We didn’t even use the shower or the kitchen. We checked out the next morning at 10:20. Then, more than 30(!) hours later, the nightmare began. The host messaged me claiming we had caused €380 worth of damage to the property. When I asked what he was referring to, he said the “cleaning lady” just informed him the apartment smelled bad because we left a diaper in the trash can. Yes, we changed our son’s diaper right before checkout and threw it in the bin – like any normal family would. If you wait 31 hours before cleaning, of course it’s going to smell. But there was no mention in the house rules that guests are required to take out the trash before leaving. I honestly doubt there even is a cleaning lady. The apartment has a cheap robot vacuum, which clearly hadn’t done a proper job. There was visible dust and hair all over the floor. We all wore socks and slippers indoors because it felt unclean.

La situació de l'apartament és immillorable: es troba al bell mig de Lübeck. Es tracta d'un apartament molt ampli i agradable, amb bones instal·lacions, malgrat que li falta una mica de manteniment.

Falta una mica de manteniment a l'apartament, així com més il·luminació en alguns punts. La neteja, especialment de la cuina i el bany, eren millorables.

Super locatie, prachtig appartement met alles erop en eraan. Midden in het centrum, dus ja, een beetje nachtlawaai, maar voor ons geen enkel probleem.

Überwiegend gut

Kein Frühstück. Man muss ins Parkhaus fahren und von dort kann man in die Wohnung gehen, also direkt an der Straße kann man nicht parken. Die Breitestr. ist eine Hauptstraße, die wir waren zum Weihnachtsmarkt dort, der war direkt an der Wohnung, dass war super.

Die Wendeltreppe ist für gehbehinderte schlecht geeignet.

Die Lage an sich ist nahezu perfekt in der Fussgängerzone, Parkhaus liegt unmittelbar hinter dem Haus

Z.Z. wird in der Fussgängerzone massiv gebaut, sodass die Lärmbelästigung erheblich ist. Nebst dem Baulärm werden die umliegenden Geschäfte mittels LKW & Palettenrollis vor 6.00h Morgens beliefert, sodass man definitiv keinen Wecker braucht...
