Disappointing

The Situation in respect of railway and town convenience is very good. The ground floor Lounge/Diner and Kitchen are good. The Property is not suitable for Disabled.

The Property is misadvertised, it does not have on site parking nor does it have 2 bathrooms. It is suitable for up to 3 adults as the stairs are steep and the door to the bathroom basically opens onto the stair top. Also the so called second bathroom is a shower in the main bedroom. The street outside is very narrow and you have to hunt around for safer parking. When I tried to contact the agent to discuss and offer suggestions as to accurate advertising and comfort, they did not respond.

Lovely town, great house, fab location!!

Great location, very clean and everything we needed in the house. It was very cold when we arrived and the heating had been switched on for us which was very welcome. We managed to park in front of the house. The road is narrow but with a bit of consideration for the neighbours we were good and could have parked very close by as an alternative. Very quiet location but 5 mins from the town which is absolutely lovely.

If it had been 2 couples the shower in one bedroom might have been a problem although we were fine. For the same reason the fitting of the doors wouldn't have provided for total privacy- again we were fine.

Very close to rail station

Parking a severe problem due to narrowness of street and it’s tough to relax in the living room because of its configuration and small, hard sofa. There is a large step down into the bathroom - which could easily lead to a stumble - and the toilet seat is located far too close to the wall. Another safety hazard is the staircase, which is very steep and narrow.

The property was very conveniently located, near to the railway station and only a short walk into the town centre. It was well equipped, freshly decorated and pleasantly furnished, without being cluttered - there was plenty of space for our clothes and other belongings. There was storage space for suitcases, something that makes a difference. The dining table and chairs - often an afterthought in holiday houses - were splendid and gave our evening dinner parties a proper setting. The kitchen had very adequate cupboard space, and it was great that, not only were the fridge and freezer already switched, on, but there was ice already made and waiting. A small thing, but one that is by no means always the case. After a long drive a G&T is very welcome. The bathroom was beautiful and very spacious. In addition to the bathroom one bedroom has its own enclosed shower. This again was a generous size - it hadn't been squeezed in - and was blissfully efficient. There is a very pleasant small courtyard and garden but, as we visited in January, we didn't sit out! The house is on a narrow lane but parking was not a problem. I often think that if the owners of a propery actually spent a few nights there, they would find out what was missing, inconvenient or needed mending, and then make it perfect. In this case it seems that they had - it was perfect.

Petite maison confortable et chaleureuse, bien chauffée d'ailleurs, bien équipée et décorée. On se sent à la maison. Emplacement calme, proche de la gare et des commerces. Lits confortables. Le jardin est sûrement un plus à la bonne saison et nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Le manque de communication personnelle avec les propriétaires. Série de messages automatiques seulement. Aucune réponse à mes remarques. Un seul torchon, pas de sacs poubelle, pas de pastilles de lave-vaisselle, de la vaisselle restée dans le lave-vaisselle, dont un plat resté gras après lavage. La couette est un peu petite...
