Lovely wood pod in Easkey Sligo, located at the back of a country cottage. Has everything you need. Just minutes from the beach.

Was für eine ungewöhnliche Unterkunft, man könnte es auch Glamping nennen. Die Lage inmitten grüner Wiesen ist sehr schön und der Kontakt zu den Vermietern sehr herzlich. Es gibt zwar keine Kochmöglichkeit, aber dann geht mal halt ins Pub zum essen, uns hat es nicht gestört und fürs Frühstück hat es gereicht.

Beware: Despite many good reviews , we were disappointed and it did not nearly meet our expectations for the price we paid (128 eu). I think the advertisement in booking.com is overstated.

It was advertised as a chalet/apartment, with sea views and private beach. In reality it was a pod in the side garden of a house. While cosy perhaps, it lacked basic kitchen utensils - a microwave only to make food, but no chopping board, kitchen knife, or a microwave container to cook the food in e.g. No dishwashing sponge etc. Nowhere to put clothes, or luggage. We were unable to use the shower because the drain was blocked (this is also mentioned in previous reviews) and risked overflowing soon after running water to the right temperature. The property is hard to find (even the locals didn’t know about it because it’s not where the other b&b’s are close to the beach. it’s on the other side of the main road to Easkey. - (sea views? what private beach???). There was nobody to help us out at the property. Phone calls went to message banks and got responded to late. We advised at 7am about the shower and got a reply more than 2 hours later (we had left). A glancing pod has its charms but it needs to be clearly advertised as such and well-maintained. We have travelled now for 5 weeks in Ireland and can confidently state it was absolutely overpriced compared to other places.
