The location is great, just 8 mins drive away from Strand Hill and the Queen Maeve Cairn trail. The area, while leading right onto a road, was quiet and the outdoor lights when switched on in the house give plenty of illumination.
The air freshener used I found to be a bit overpowering and vaguely headache inducing. However, I am a bit more sensitive to smells than most other folks I know and have had this happen in circumstances where others don't notice anything but the smell, so this might just be a me thing.

Very easy to check in and great communication with Daniel, the host. There is a secure garden perfect for pets (I brought my small dog) and the house is clean and quiet.
It's on a busy road with tight parking which meant taking care to park in a position that allows a safe exit!

The host was responsive and had left a few essentials for our arrival, which was a thoughtful touch. The cottage had everything we needed and was well equipped. The location was excellent with easy access to Sligo and plenty of local walking routes.
The only downside was the wet room. As there was no shower curtain (although one is shown in the photos) the whole room became very wet after morning showers and stayed that way for much of the day. With the toilet in the same room, this was a little inconvenient.
