Not sophisticated, not elegant, and not scenic
The host was very responsive to our questions

1. There was grease on glasses. plates, and utensils. You could see the grease move with your finger. The dishwasher filter was also filled with grease. One of the racks of the dishwasher was loose/broken- cheaply made.
2. The uncomfortable beds. Soft and squeaky. It was bad. In fact, we left a day early because it was so bad. In all the times we have “rented” a house, this is the only time we ever left early.
3. There are many steps both inside and outside the house. The front steps were higher than normal and scary to use. If you park in the back of the house the wooden hand rail gave off splinters and those steps had nail pops.
4. The property was advertised as having 4 bathrooms. There were only three. None on the 1st floor.
5. There is an outside alcove with some outdoor furniture. This could have been nice but everything looked dirty and mildewed.
6. Various areas just a bad overall look with junk laying around.
7. The dining table was beat-up with stains and scratches all over. The cushions on the bench by the table might as well not have been there – they were very worn and uncomfortable.
8. The coffee table was wobbly and felt like it would collapse with any real weight.
9. The sofa and matching chair were uncomfortably low and more difficult to get out of then normal.
10. There were no good views from the property. The location was not great. There was one restaurant you could walk to and one small park. Walking around the neighborhood felt safe, but at the same time most of the front yards were not well kept and bushes/weeds grew out onto the sidewalks making it difficult for two people to walk side by side.
11. The ceiling fan in the main bedroom could not be turned on without leaving the fan light on - ridiculous!
12. There were other small discomforts that feel like nitpicking – such as the AC register that was falling out of the wall, the dead moth in between the bed sheets, etc but out of room for the review.
