Owen's Hideaway by the BnB Collection

The house includes all the basic facilities we needed for our stay. It has a slow-combustion wood heater that kept the whole house warm, as it was quite chilly while we were there. The location is good, and it's close to Albany's town centre without the traffic noise. Overall, the house is clean and quiet, suitable for individual travellers or couples. Contacting a BnB agent is easy, and they respond instantly.

The passcode for the gate lock was different from the one for the lockbox for the key, which was inconsistent with the message we received from the agent's response on Booking.com. A few things are missing in the house. Neither lighter in the utensil drawer is working; luckily, we have our spare matches to light up the heater. There is insufficient kitchenware, such as no dish rack, and most of the cutlery does not seem to be in good condition: only two big bowls and some strangely sized plates. No portable airer or clothesline available to use; you are allowed to use the rack in the small garage, which is outside the main house(very unlikely to dry), and there is no dryer in the laundry room. The washing machine is quite complicated without a proper user guide; you can easily choose the wrong washing mode, which can take 3 to 4 hours. The house key is a bit misshapen. I'm not sure when it happened, but it was already mildly bent when we got it, and we had to use it very carefully.

So spacious yet very cosy. It was spotlessly clean and had all you needed including extra wood for the open fire

Not that it is a fault with the property but it is a little out of town. A car is needed

Beautifully restored house with comfortable beds and all facilities needed and a gardenl. Good location

A dedicated place to park rather than parking on your the sloping lawn.

It was reasonably clean

A very sterile place. Barely any decoration, small amount of furniture scattered in a big room, no taste, not even comfortable. Not a homely place at all. Cold. No character, too functional.
