Location was ideal, not too far to walk to the centre but also quiet as away from the traffic. Ideally very near a local road for convenient shopping

It's a very spacious apartment, 2 large double bedrooms, large reception/living room with big private balcony, bathroom/WC (shower), and a large kitchen which I jointly used as an office (has a good desk and chair) - approx 65sq.m I'd say. It's bright and has a natural breeze that ventilates the top floor apartment. The location is ideal, it's less than a $ by motorbike taxi to get practically anywhere in the Thamel tourist district, yet it's quiet and less traffic being outside. Kathmandu has very poor air quality during longer periods of dry weather, so being away from the busy artery roads at this location is better. The nearby local road is great to buy anything you need for living day-to-day from the inexpensive local shops. You can walk to the busy nightlife street within 10 minutes at night, I felt safe at all times. WiFi is good for personal use. Drinking water supplied. I booked a month, and rebooked another 6 weeks - so that speaks for itself. The host is a nice younger guy who speaks great English. It's a good deal.

It's nearby a Taekwondo school which can be occasionally noisy at 6am. I cleaned a bit upon arrival. No laundry facilty, but it's only 150NPR per kilo nearby and comes back dry and folded/ironed. I recommend NCEL WiFi for business use, using your mobile (electricity is reliable).

I had a great experience staying at this affordable and spacious apartment near Thamel. The place is big, comfortable, and comes with a lovely terrace. the host is incredibly humble, down-to-earth, and went out of his way to accommodate me even on short notice. Very responsive and helpful throughout my stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a budget-friendly place with genuine hospitality!
