SUBI Home Stay

My staying at Subi Home stay was very smooth and pleasant. I just stayed one night for convenience but could have stayed for a long stay. SanjitaJi, the owner is very helpful and caring. The rooms are spacious, cooled with natural breeze, comfortable and clean, the apartment is fully equipped. The place is located in a very peaceful neighbourhood in Raniban with Nagarjun Forest mountains near by, you feel you can even touch them. There are a lot of Buddhist monasteries in the area, also Swoyambhu and beautiful walks to explore locally with views towards Kathmandu valley.

Peaceful neighbourhood right next to the forested hills and Triten Monastery. We enjoyed having access to a kitchen. We enjoyed the rooftop for views and yoga. The room was very comfortable and cosy. And Didi, the caretaker, was very hospitable and friendly, and she can cook dinner too if you tell her 2-3 hours beforehand. Very tasty food! We highly recommend this place! :-)

Without a doubt, I now have a second home in Kathmandu. During my week there, I was made to feel truly part of the family by Sanjita, her husband, and their two lovely daughters. They welcomed me with so much kindness and warmth. They even invited me to celebrate the Maghe Sankranti festival with them: we made sel roti together and shared a delicious traditional breakfast. It was a very special and meaningful experience. The homestay is located in a very peaceful area, close to the mountain and several Buddhist monasteries. It is incredibly quiet, with no noise at all, so sleeping there is wonderful and very restful. The room is beautiful, spacious, bright, and very comfortable. The bed is extremely comfortable, everything is spotlessly clean, and the hot shower is perfect for cold winter days in Kathmandu. There is also a kettle in the room to make tea or herbal infusions, and drinking water is always available. I had breakfast and dinner at the homestay every day, and without any doubt, it was the best food I tried in Nepal. Healthy, homemade, absolutely delicious, and above all, cooked with love. They also helped me with transportation, both to and from the airport and to the Thamel area, which made everything very easy and stress-free. If I return to Kathmandu, I will definitely stay at Subi Homestay again. I now have a Nepali family in Kathmandu. I highly recommend this place: the best accommodation possible, at a very good price.
