Il Piccione is Paradise itself! We had an extraordinary stay with my friends (11 people) and everything we needed. Giovanna is a fantastic host and even helped us with a huge special favor before we arrived. You can get an entire Tuscan villa for yourselves for a more than reasonable price, a lush, beautiful garden with a pool area, olive trees, rosemary bushes, grill, so everything you can possibly need for the real Tuscan vibes and for a pleasant stay with a larger group. The owners are ready to answer and help, but they give you the privacy you need to rest in a place like this. The rooms are spacious, have all the necessary things, every one of them were clean as possible for a villa with a long history like this. So wonderful that you can still find a building like this and not just the soulless, modernly renovated ones. You will have hot water and a warm duvet too, no worries on chilly nights. Also the place comes with two fully-equipped kitchen. Sorano is the gem of the region, not too crowded, and you can get there on foot in like 15-20 minutes, so no need to drive and pay attention on how many chiantis you’ve had in any of the lovely restaurants or bars. In this village you can follow the footsteps of the etruscans, visit the castle or just walk the beautiful narrow streets and pet the friendly cats. Dear Hosts!
