Nice place, well maintained. Has a nice big unheated entry way for us to keep our fishing gear and snowmobile helmets so they weren't sitting outside. The only trouble I would say was the picture made the driveway look big, a big circle driveway and one of the reasons we chose this property, but it was not, it is actually way smaller than it looks in the picture, we had four trucks and trailers. We were able to make it work and park one on the side of the road. Over all nice place and cozy.

Great “home base” property for our Houghton Lake adventures. The huge fridge was great for all the wonderful food my family brought, and nice big kitchen to prepare meals in. Loved the Adirondack chairs for sitting by the fire and the fenced in back yard was amazing for my pup!
I would add a dust pan for the broom for daily clean up. We brought a lot of dirt in from the backyard and couldn’t find a dust pan. And maybe water access out back for dog water or grill cleanup.

Was very clean, beds were comfortable. Dining table was very small we had 8 people including kids and table could only accommodate 4 comfortably. Also needs to have more furniture in the living room

The house was well appointed and made for a comfortable stay. We brought our dog so it was nice to have a fenced-in back yard. But, enjoying the back yard can be a bit loud as it is on the corner of a main road (E. Houghton Lake Dr.) While the property is located only a few blocks from the lake, the closest access is just a boat launch so be prepared to drive to a public beach if your goal is to enjoy the lake. One bonus was the short walk to Unchartered Grounds coffee and ice cream shop!
