About this house rental
Our vacation homes:
Our unique vacation complex—each rated 4 stars by the German Tourism Association (DTV)—overlooking Breuberg Castle is located in a former farmstead dating back to 1801. It consists of a traditionally built half-timbered house and a sandstone barn.
Various light installations by artist Günter Vest, combined with the tastefully decorated interiors and fire pits in both houses, create a special atmosphere.
A fenced-in garden along the stream, with mature trees covering approximately 1,800 m², offers plenty of space to dream and relax.
Parking spaces and barbecue facilities are available. Drinks from our own production can be purchased. Pets are welcome by arrangement.
Vestscheune:
The barn, Vestscheune, offers space for 4+1 people on approximately 90 m². From the entrance, the hallway leads to the bathroom, which features a sink, toilet, walk-in shower, and a washing machine. Bed linens and towels are provided. Continuing down the hallway and up the staircase, you reach the reading and TV room on the first floor. A church spire from Alsace, converted into a ceiling light, is the highlight of this room. It features a fold-out couch, a wingback chair, Wi-Fi access, and an LED satellite TV. A staircase inside the room leads to the very spacious bedroom, located directly under the roof. It features a double bed (1.80 m) and a dressing area. Back in the hallway, you’ll find the open-concept kitchen with a microwave, stove, sink, dishwasher, and a fridge-freezer combo, as well as a folding table with two bistro chairs. From there, you enter the dining room with a tiled stove.
In addition to a table for 6 people, there are 2 comfortable armchairs and a wingback chair. From there, you enter the second bedroom with a double bed (1.60 m). You can also access the outdoor seating area overlooking the garden through the dining room.
Surroundings:
The 850-year-old Breuberg Castle, visible from afar, dominates the landscape. Below the castle complex lie our vineyards and our rock cellar dating from 1840. At the foot of the Breuberg lies the Neustadt district with its lovingly restored half-timbered houses. The wooden cross—unique in Germany—bearing the symbols of market peace and market jurisdiction bears witness to centuries-old tradition.
In every district, you’ll find unspoiled nature, relaxation, and opportunities for exercise. A well-marked hiking network winds through forests and fields. With two signposted mountain bike trails, Breuberg is connected to the Geopark network. The Mümling Valley Bike Path takes you all the way to the Main River. Let yourself be inspired by the “Art Along the Bike Path” and stop by the Breuberg-Aue Sculpture Park. Adventurous visitors can take on the challenge of the Starkenburg via ferrata, a former sandstone quarry near Hainstadt.
Breuberg lies at an elevation of 137–306 meters above sea level and comprises the districts of Hainstadt, Neustadt, Rai-Breitenbach, Sandbach, and Wald-Amorbach.
