The history of this historic building in the centre of Aix, known as the "Pension Suchet".
"The site was built on the theatrum Sabaudiae of 1674 and, in 1728, during the preparation of the Sardinian cadastre [...]
In 1858, this vast building, which had six rooms on each floor, housed a grocery store on the first floor.
Blaise Suchet, who owned the first floor and the first floor in 1859, fitted out furnished rooms there. The Guide de l'étranger à Aix-les-Bains of 1862 mentions a Suchet pension.
In 1871, the owner of the second floor, Janus Tochon, had the roof raised and redone on the side of the presbytery gardens, to the east.
On the first floor, two showcases were opened in 1883, on the initiative of Joseph Quay Thévenon.
In the same year the owner of the first floor, had his windows enlarged and new ones opened; on this occasion wrought iron railings were installed."
