RIAD TANJA by chef Moha

O Quarto tinha alguma humidade e não tinha janela para o exterior . As almofadas da cama eram demasiado altas sem opções de troca.

Very good riad at the edge of the busy medina of Tangiers. The place is easy enough to locate and the streets nearby seem to be safe since there is the security of the American Legation close by. The place is quaint and the room was very big, with space for an extra bed (we were a group of three). The bathroom was also of a good size. The breakfast was very good and there was a roof terrace to chill out with some live ambient music. We'd repeat for sure.

We were departing by ferry very soon and could not have breakfast so we asked if we could have a take out option. They said that it was OK and that they'd arrange. On the day of the departure there was nothing for us, so we left out empty handed, and we checked the reviews and it seems to be common practice. We understand there's a schedule, but if you can't fulfil the requests of the guests it's better to be frank about it and not make promises you're not going to comply with.

The staff was exceptional. they went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable, including getting administrative things done for me. The Riad was centrally located, modest but great. The food was fantastic, especially the dinner, which was not included in the price. They also provided water and let me leave my bags outside of my hotel stay hours.

My room was next to the dining room, where a musician played the oud. That was a little loud for me when I tried to go to sleep. Eventually, he wrapped up, and I went to sleep. The windows do not have bars, so it's unsafe to leave them open for fresh air because someone can climb in.

No reception on arrival of departure…lack of any personal contact Breakfast is the same each day and over complicated No bottled water in room (and not advised to drink tsp water) and hardly any toiletries…never replaced and no hairdryer as stated The pictures are much better than the reality…our room was missing some paint and had a wonky clothes rail which isn’t in photos! I was looking forward to breakfast or a drink on the roof terrace but it’s empty and locked!
