Comfortable little place in a good location

Great stop over! Very neat and tidy and owner was super informative and helpful to things to do/eat in the local area. Bed was very comfortable! Cute chooks!

Exceptional accommodation in rural location but close enough for Hamilton events.

Met by the lovely host. The location and situation of this accommodation is superb. Layout inside is immaculate and so well cared for. I could have stayed for weeks! If you don't need/want to be in the city (Hamilton) this place is absolutely perfect. We saw a spectacular sunrise which set us up beautifully for the day. Lovely breakfast supplies available and the aircon was very welcome as it was a hot day when we arrived. Will definitely stay here again when in Hamilton for events.

Home away from home, amazing amenities and great communication from the host.

This was our second stay at Fantail Cottage and definitely not our last. The rural location was just what we needed to unwind. We just got in from two days' flights and Fantail was just the place to relax, take an amazing shower and sleep off our jet lag in the extremely comfortable rooms. We really appreciated the coffee and cereals that were available and we cannot wait to stay again. See you soon!

Warm, comfortable small house with lovely outlook over farmland. The owner was very welcoming and came to our aid very quickly when we couldn't get the oven to turn on - just check the main switch is on!

We were a little surprised there was no dining table but managed fine with plates in our laps. The lack of a table might influence what types of meals you have. A couple in our group were not keen on using the worn chopping board - maybe it could be replaced?

I would absolutely recommend it to anybody who is looking for a place to stay in that area!

The cottage was exceptionally clean! Fiona had everything we needed for breakfast: cereals, milk, variety of coffees and teas, spices. She was also very helpful when it came to the tour reservations, shopping, and dining. There is a binder and brochures with all the information you can possibly need during your stay in Hamilton.

Excellent presentation, very comfy, very warm

took our own breakfast cereals etc, aircon control was difficult to master, booklet would have been handy, excellent shower, plenty of kitchen crockery, cutlery, and food items left for us was not really used by us but there was enough if we needed. Beds really comfortable, parking was right outside, and cottage extremely comfortable and cosy.

Peace and Serenity

Thank you Fiona, you have a beautiful space, the most comfortable beds so everyone said. My nephew said he never sleeps in but the bed was so comfortable he slept like a log.

I didn't like that we had to rush out today to make the start of a meeting at 9:00am when we could had enjoyed another hour of the peace and serenity of your home.

It definitely had the WOW factor!

We enjoyed everything about this property and it definitely had the WOW factor. Everything was exceptionally clean and the beds and doonas were very comfortable. The cosy lounge and full kitchen with fresh milk and condiments was wonderful and the host even provided bathroom and laundry supplies. The outlook was superb. Fiona the host was lovely.

I think a little dining table would've been great to eat our meals at, or at the very least bar stools. We didn't eat in the lounge room as it was carpeted.

A beautiful country escape

The house was beautifully presented. Fiona had popped fresh tomatoes and plums in the fridge, which were yum! The whole house was well equipped and the beds were so comfortable. Was lovely waking up in the country with the cows mooing. A fabulous stay and fantastic value for money.

We had a very comfortable stay at Fantail Cottage which was a home away from home for our family.

The host, Fiona, was very friendly and easy to contact prior to our arrival and ensured to meet us when we arrived. The view from the property was gorgeous and as it was our first night in NZ, it was absolutely perfect as we were so tired. The kitchen was very well equipped, there was milk in the fridge, cold water and a number of pantry items. There were many birds around, we enjoyed watching the chickens and cows and were very comfortable. There were also a number of helpful tourist brochures and parking for our car. There was also a washing machine and drying rack. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Would be good to have a table and chairs or some bar stools to eat at the kitchen bench. When travelling with kids it’s a bit nerve wracking having them on a white couch with their dinner!

It was quiet and peaceful and homey and welcoming. All the thoughtful inclusions like board games and pantry supplies were greatly appreciated. It was good to have laundry facilities and the countryside views and chickens made it perfect for us.

Cozy Cottage not far from the city

I was greeted by Fiona, who was extremely pleasant and welcoming. She provided me with a tour of the cottage and explained the amenities available. It is worth noting that Netflix is available, although it is not mentioned in the description, which was a pleasant surprise. The location of the cottage is ideal, as it is situated in a tranquil countryside setting while still being conveniently close to shops. The cottage is well-equipped with everything one might need and more. The beds, sofa, and couch are comfortable and adorned with cozy throws. Although our stay was brief, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage and will certainly book it again when we return to Hamilton. I highly recommend the Fantail cottage for those seeking a peaceful retreat away from the city's hustle and bustle and an opportunity to immerse themselves in nature.
